Dracula

This timeless, gothic tale of love, lust, and horror returns!

Domingo Rubio reprises his role as Dracula to kick off our 20th Anniversary Season.

Unleash your inner vampire with Ballet Quad Cities' Dracula.  International artist Domingo Rubio will seduce audiences for two performances at the imposing Scottish Rite Cathedral with the love story of Dracula and Mina.  Inspired by Bram Stroker's 1897 novel, Dracula was choreographed by former Resident Choreographer Deanna Carter.  Featuring music from Nino Rota, Alfred Schnittke, Maurice Ravel, Bella Bartok and more, Dracula has been a fan favorite for almost a decade.

Join Dracula and his brides at his castle on October 22nd  for a deathly delicious dinner to raise funds for Ballet Quad Cities' educational programs!   Your $50 tickets includes choice of "Steak through the Heart" or "Transylvania Vegetables", spooktacular cocktails, live music, a hauntingly fantastic silent auction, plus Halloween fun!  Cocktail hour begins at 5 pm, followed by dinner and the  performance.

This well-known Holiday Classic choreographed by Artistic Director Courtney Lyon comes to life in Ballet Quad Cities’ own enchanting production. Lavish costumes and magnificent scenery blend with beautiful choreography to create the most delightful fantasy ever. With live music provided by Orchestra Iowa this is one holiday production that you won’t want to miss!

Love Stories

Perhaps the most popular production of the season for the true dance enthusiast, you'll enjoy something old and something new as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Johanne Jakhelln's popular Chairished will be performed at the request of local celebrity Don Wooten to honor our 20 year history.  Other choreographers inclue; L.D. Kidd, Deanna Carter, Lynn Kathryn Bowman and our own Courtney Lyon.  Dance just doesn't get much better than this.

Dessert bar with beverages at intermission both nights and an afterglow at The Planning Center on the 11th add to the festivities.

 

The Wild, Wild West
