Dancing is all about connecting performers with audiences, dancers with choreographers, energy with emotion, and movement with music. Ballet Quad Cities’ Dance Me A Story; Exploring Literature through Ballet programs connect ballet and literature to provide a new, creative understanding of beloved stories and characters to individuals of all ages and abilities. What began as an interactive, in-person experience of using movement and music to create danced versions of familiar books has grown to reach over 15,000 individuals in the last three years.

Now, we are expanding it into a virtual format. The first edition of this new format is focused on the book Look Where We Live! A First Book of Community Building. Participants learn and dance all about the 2020 Census as an important way of taking part in their community by being counted. This is a fun, quick, interactive video that people of all ages and abilities can take part in.

Ballet Quad Cities had to cancel the rest of our season due to the current pandemic. We do not have a contingency budget for this type of emergency. At the present time our normal revenue sources have dried up, please consider making a donation to view this outstanding resource.

Thank you for your kind consideration,
