Carolyn is from Bettendorf, IA and began studying at Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance in 2005. As a student, she had the opportunity to perform in numerous productions as a member of Ballet Quad Cities II, under the direction of Margaret Huling and Courtney Lyon, as well as performing with the professional company in From the Pages of a Young Girl’s Life, Delicatessen, Coppelia, and Cinderella. She has also spent numerous summers attending the Glenda Brown Choreography Project at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she worked with Thom Clower, Paula Weber, Jennifer Medina, Carly Snelling, and Ceasar Barajas.
Since joining the company in 2013, she has performed in numerous premieres by artistic director Courtney Lyon, including Rite of Spring, Romeo and Juliet, and The Firebird. Carolyn has also enjoyed the opportunity to perform in works by Deanna Carter, Margaret Huling, Dominic Walsh, and Brian Enos, recently being featured in Enos’ Amare.
Carolyn also finds great joy in choreographing and teaching creative movement, ballet, jazz, and tap for Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance.
Carolyn is thrilled to be entering her second season as a professional dancer with Ballet Quad Cities!
