Marie Buser
 Marie Buser, originally from upstate New York, began her training with Madeline Cantarella Culpo.  Supported by a dance and academic scholarship, she earned her BFA at the Conservatory of Music and Dance at University of Missouri-Kansas City.  During this time, she performed with the Kansas City Ballet in their 2011 production of Giselle, and toured annually with the Albany Berkshire Ballet in The Nutcracker, dancing roles such as Snow Queen and Dew Drop.  She went on to dance professionally with American Contemporary Ballet where she originated soloist roles in Lincoln Jones' L’Apotheose de Corelliand Serenade in La.  Since joining Ballet Quad Cities in 2012, Marie has been featured in works by Deanna Carter, Courtney Lyon, Dominic Walsh, LD Kidd, and Margaret King.  Some notable favorites include:  Courtney Lyon's Rite of Spring, the role of Lucy in Deanna Carter's Dracula, the bride in Dominic Walsh's Die Hochzeit, the title role in Courtney Lyon's The Firebird and Billy's Sweetheart in Lyon's rendition of Billy the Kid, and most recently, the Butterfly in The Nutcracker. This past spring Marie enjoyed performing Lyon’s Dance “Four“ Piano, commissioned by Orchestra Iowa , and performed alongside Grammy-winning Emanuel Ax at the Golden Key Gala in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is Marie's seventh season with Ballet Quad Cities.
