Melissa Brown-Hudecz

Melissa Brown-Hudecz, originally from Mason, Michigan, began dancing at Danceworks of MI, performing title roles with the Children’s Ballet Theatre.  She has performed in Europe with the Blue Lake International Ballet Ensemble, and participated in summer programs with Lansing Community College, Ballet Austin, American Ballet Theatre, and under scholarship at Milwaukee Ballet.  Ms. Brown-Hudecz attended Grand Valley State University on scholarship and received her B.A. in dance under the direction of Jefferson Baum.  At the university, she danced several leading roles including Sugar Plum in Nutcracker, Myrtha in Giselle, and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty.  She also worked with members of the New York City Ballet on several works through the Balanchine Trust.  Ms. Brown-Hudecz graduated cum laude, and was accepted into Phi Kappi Phi, and all- discipline national honors society.  She performed last season with Milwaukee Ballet II, and is very excited to be joining Ballet Quad Cities for her first season.
