Kimberly Durham-Mays

Kimberly Durham-Mays began her ballet training at the age of seven with Susan Snider then continued with Francoise Martinet at the University of Iowa. When she was twelve, she was chosen to perform with The Joffrey Ballet in their premiere of The Nutcracker at Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City and at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Kim was invited to study on a full scholarship at summer programs all across the country including Boston Ballet, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest and The Joffrey Ballet. She was also a trainee with Milwaukee Ballet. Some of her favorite ballets to perform include Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Giselle. She is a certified Cecchetti Ballet Method teacher in Grades One and Two and is continuing her certification in the Cecchetti Method.
