Lauren Carmen

Lauren Carmen’s serious ballet training began in Iowa City, IA, where she studied a blend of RAD and Cecchetti techniques, further solidified at summer intensives such as Houston Ballet and Texas Ballet Theater. Spending a year in Chicago, Lauren then was immersed in strict Vaganova training at the Joffrey Ballet. By the time she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma, Lauren had received her pilates teaching certification and her BFA in Ballet Pedagogy, having student-taught under the tutelage of master teachers, such as Clara Cravey-Stanley. In her second season dancing and teaching at Ballet Quad Cities, Lauren's goal is to give her students the tools needed to dance with pure lines, expansive movement and artistry, and to continue to foster a well-rounded understanding and appreciation for the tradition of ballet.
