2022/24 Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance School Policies

Enrollment/Admissions:

It is the policy of BQC School of Dance not to discriminate based on race, sex, color, religion, national origin, or ancestries that are unrelated to the ability to dance or enjoy the benefits of the performing arts.

Attendance:

Dancers are expected to maintain a high level of attendance in class. Regular attendance in class helps build strength and lessens the risk of injury.  Attendance will be taken for each class. If a dancer has an excessive number of absences, the teacher may advise the dancer to move down a level.  Please note, there is no refund for absences.

Tuition and fees:

Registration form and yearly $25 registration fee are due at the time of enrollment. Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of the month or the first class of the month. If you choose to pay late, a $25 late fee will be added to your tuition. Exact cash or check ONLY should be placed in an envelope with dancer’s name and level marked clearly on the envelope and the memo line of the check. Checks must be made out to the school, “Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance,” and NOT “Ballet Quad Cities,” the professional nonprofit organization. If you are paying partial tuition, clearly identify the amount and classes. Envelopes are to be handed to the instructor on or before the first class of the month.  THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ON TUITION

Advancement/Progression:

Teachers will assess each dancer. Advancement to the next level is based on individual progress in class and the level of understanding and maturity demonstrated in class. Any questions regarding your dancer’s progression should be addressed in a scheduled parent/teacher conference.

Observation:

A designated “Watch Week” will be assigned for one week each semester to allow families an opportunity to observe their dance student in a classroom setting. If you wish to observe your class at a time other than during the designated “Watch Week”, please contact the school or the instructor. 309.786.2677
