Marcus Pei is a dancer from Iowa City. Before college, he performed the lead role in the first National Tour of Billy Elliot the Musical, attended Canada’s National Ballet School for 6 years, and danced professionally with Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf, Germany for a season. He returned to Iowa City to continue his academic studies, receiving his BA in Chemistry, BS in Mathematics, and Dance Minor from the University of Iowa. During his undergraduate studies he had the pleasure of working with Eloy Barragan in ballet and contemporary dance. He performed in the Iowa Dance Festival, danced pieces by Shannon Alvis and Michael Sakamoto in the University of Iowa’s Dance Gala, and performed in works by Marc Macaranas and Sarah Olson. Marcus loves to dance, and can’t wait to serve the Quad Cities area.
