Nutcracker Community Cast Information

Putting on The Nutcracker takes a lot of time, money and volunteers!  Your support makes our job easier. Every student dancer is required to attend all scheduled rehearsals for their assigned role/s.  If you are ill or have a family emergency you must email [email protected] to let us know.  Student dancers are required to be at all rehearsals and performances at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids and the Adler Theatre in Davenport. 

Mandatory dates for all dancers:

November 30 - MANDATORY hair and makeup rehearsals! Missing this will result in loss of role. 

Spacing rehearsals in the theater, dress rehearsals, and all performances are mandatory. 

December 5 - Evening spacing and technical rehearsals Paramount Theatre, Cedar Rapids, IA-Time TBA

December 6 - Evening dress rehearsal Paramount Theatre, Cedar Rapids, IA- Time TBA

December 7 - Public performances at Paramount Theatre- Saturday 2:00, Saturday 7:30

December 12 - Evening spacing and technical rehearsals Adler Theatre Davenport IA-Time TBA

December 13 - School Matinee Performance- 10am

December 14 & 15 - Public performances at Adler Theatre- Saturday 2:00, Saturday 7:00, Sunday 2:00

Attending all rehearsals is necessary to the success of the overall production. Missing rehearsal may result in loss of role.

All student dancers need to arrive 15 mins prior to their rehearsal time, and be prepared to enter the studio on time with hair in a bun and leotard and tights on.

Saturday November 30 

**All student dancers must wear their performance hair and makeup to be approved.

11:30-12:45 Warm up for company dancers, plus Big Rats and Clara

1:00-2:30 Act I ALL- Party Scene, Battle Scene, Snow

3:00-4:30 Act II ALL

Tuesday December 3 

BQC Studio

6:00-7:45 Party Scene, Battle Scene (battle scene arrives at 6:30), Snow Transition with Drosselmeyer joining rehearsal (Domingo Rubio)

COMMUNICATION:

Everyone should have received emails and texts at this point.  If you are not receiving communication, it is up to you to contact the office. We will use [email protected] to communicate regarding The Nutcracker. Make sure your email account recognizes this address to avoid messages being marked as spam.  In an emergency, use BQC’s phone number: 309-786-3779. We also utilize Remind to send text messages to each family.
