Ava Coussens has received her dance training since age 3 at Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance where she studies ballet, modern, jazz, tap, African and Indian. Currently a senior at Rock Island High School she has performed as a student dancer in numerous productions with Ballet Quad Cities and Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance. Ava also enjoys musical theatre and performs with Rock Island High School Drama Department as well as The Center for Living Arts. Some of her favorite performances include Legally Blonde, Les Miserables and most recently, Chicago. Ava has a special place in her heart for Penguin Project of the Quad Cities where she is a peer mentor performing alongside young actors with special needs. In the summer of 2021 Ava completed teacher training in Tap for Children’s Division through Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance teacher training program.
