Christian Knopp was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia, beginning his formative ballet training at the Schrader Youth Ballet. He went on to study at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, receiving top marks in ballet pedagogy while also serving as a substitute teacher for the Conservatory. Mr. Knopp has spent a considerable amount of his training studying at the Bossov Ballet under Natalya Getman in the Vaganova method. There he also worked coaching the male students. Mr. Knopp frequently returns to his home of West Virginia, working as a guest and master teacher across the state. He is excited to continue bringing his knowledge and experience to the students of Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance, where he has been on faculty since 2021.
