Emily Kate Long

Emily Kate Long received her early ballet training based in the Cecchetti Method and the Balanchine style at Southold Dance Theater in South Bend, Indiana. She continued her training in ballet, modern, jazz, character dance, and dance composition at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program. She has attended the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet Teachers’ Workshop in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Massachusetts Academy of Ballet’s Vaganova Teachers’ Seminar led by Rose Flachs and John White at Mount Holyoke College; and courses through the National Dance Education Organization’s Online Professional Development Institute. Ms Long’s 13 years of teaching experience with Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance include Creative Movement, Ballet 1 and Ballet 3, and Tap 1 in the Children’s Division; ballet, pointe, character, partnering, and repertoire for the Preparatory Division; and Adult Ballet.
