Madeleine Rhode was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and started her ballet training at the age of five with the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy, under Rolando Yanes. She continued her training at summer intensives on scholarship at the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet. Rhode has taught at various ballet school’s throughout her young professional ballet career. From 2018-19, while in her hometown she taught at the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy in the evenings while dancing with the Milwaukee Ballet Company as a second company member, during the day. There, she taught ballet technique classes to young students and occasionally taught the advanced level ballet classes and rehearsals. After joining Ballet Quad Cities as a professional ballet dancer in 2019, she was immediately hired to teach Creative Movement and Adult Open Division classes at Ballet Quad Cities School of Dance (BQCSD). Since then, she’s taught every level in between for BQCSD. Rhode also was given the opportunity to teach Pilates and Ballet Repertoire to the advanced students. For the past 2 summers, she’s taught ballet master classes at a local studio in Menomonee Falls, WI for intermediate students. She recently joined the staff at a ballet studio in the Quad Cities; teaching intermediate students, pointe. Rhode has many roots that are tied to Wisconsin which bring her back often; and still teaches periodically at the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy.
