Caitlin Sendlenski, is originally from Westchester, New York where she began her training at Logrea Dance Academy under the direction of Beth Fritz and Jean Logrea. Continuing to grow, she attended summer intensives such as Kirov, Walnut Hill, Manhattan Youth Ballet, ABT and Ballet Austin. She spent two years training closely with Michael Owen and Denise Lewis at Walnut Hill School for the Arts. There she performed classical and choreographic works by Samuel Kirkijian, Diane Arvantites, and Levi Marsman. She also had the opportunity to work with Cameron Basden in 2019, performing Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations at the Joyce Theater in New York. After graduating with honors at Walnut Hill, Caitlin continued her academic and dance education at Butler University graduating with a BFA in Dance Performance in 2023. In her time at Butler, she performed roles such as Lead Mirliton and Lead Russian in The Nutcracker, Pas de Trois in Swan Lake, and a Soloist in The Forecourt Dance choreographed by Marek Cholewa. She also had the privilege to work with Deborah Wingert and perform as one of the ‘Little Russian Girls’ in George Balanchine’s Serenade. This past season, Caitlin danced with Grand Rapids Ballet as a trainee where she performed corps de ballet roles in Val Caniparoli’s Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Who Cares and Devon Carney’s The Sleeping Beauty. She is very excited to start her first season with Ballet Quad Cities!
